INTRODUCTION: 

I love to write. I am not very good at it, but I am practicing. I hope you will be able to understand my perspective on life. I think we do a great injustice when we divorce our thoughts and comments from our life context. As you read my thoughts, pay close attention to where I am coming from and where I have been. I will spare you my life story for now, but I will offer “tid-bits” from time to time that should help you understand the context of my thoughts.

WHY AM I BLOGGING?

The main reason I like to blog is to release thoughts. My mind gets jumbled up and cluttered quite often. It is enough to drive me crazy! I have many friends that I talk to, especially my wife, but even they get tired of hearing me. So, I like to sit down and release my thoughts right here. Be careful what you take away from here. Sometimes I sit and type in anger, while other times I may just be plain tired. I can say some pretty stupid things at times. Please be aware of this.

WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT FROM THIS BLOG?

I am not really sure. You will probably get angry when I rant. You may want to cry when I get personal. You may want to change when God uses me to challenge the status quo. I don’t really appreciate those who like things the way they are, and they don’t typically appreciate me. However, I hope you can expect to learn and be challenged to think beyond where you are now. I am a thinker by nature. I guess I get that from my mom.

WHAT DO I BELIEVE?

  • I believe Jesus is the unique, virgin-born Son of God.
  • I believe He came to live among humanity 2000 years ago in order to show us how to have an abundant life, and offer Himself as the all-sufficient sacrifice for the sin of the world.
  • I believe the actions, teachings, and effects of Jesus serve as the impetus for all Christians to make disciples, serve others, and love God unconditionally.
  • I believe the Holy Spirit convinces those who will listen to God’s Word, that Jesus is the only Lord and Savior worthy of our obedience.
  • I believe those who God draws with the power of His Word, and repent of their rebellion against Him, and trust Jesus as their Lord and Savior will be saved from eternal death and judgement.
  • Yes, I believe the 66 books of the Bible are inspired, or “God-breathed”, and are literally the very Words of God as penned by the origianl writers.
  • I believe the Bible is the sufficient revelation of God for mankind, and is His love-letter of how He created, loves, and is pursuing His creation unto redemption.
  • I believe the Body of Christ, the Church, was established by Christ Himself while on earth and exists still today to incarnate, or flesh out, the very presence of Jesus in every society, people group, nation, city, community, neighborhood, and household.
  • The Church manifests itself only as local, visible gatherings of  two or more believers who covenant together to carry out the life of Christ in everything they do.
  • I believe Truth is to be discovered and is only fully revealed in the context of a personal relationshp with Jesus.
  • I believe the best context for lives to be changed is found in mutual relationships of personal accountibility, Scripture reading, and consistent prayer.
